Bacolet is really an area for the long term / residing tourist. The area is full with villa’s and guesthouses owned or aimed at tourists. Houses are luxurious and local buildings are few in number. You either like it or not, – it’s pretty – but in my opinion it is not a representative view of Tobago.
In a way Bacolet Beach is a represents the area. It’s a lovely beach, but located close to Scarborough it misses the laid back feeling of other beaches. Even though Bacolet is touristic it’s also quite different from Pigeon Point or Storebay. Maybe this might be my place to be once i’m retired – it has a nice bar/restaurant on the beach- now it’s not on my list as yet….
